911 & 912
There are volumes to write about the ’911′. The same project number spanned an infinite number of build variations along the 26 years of production between 1963 and 1989, (the 912 was introduced alongside the 911 in 1965 as an entry level model). When the name evolved to 964, then 993, 996, 997 and now 998 and despite the factory project number having first changed from 911 more than fifteen years ago, even the latest 998 models are still recognized and known as a 911 by most people.
Overall and undoubtedly the most iconic and successful sports car of all time is still going strong with an unmissable ancestry back to the earliest of cars.
These cars really are our core business, along with 356′s, so this picture is of yet another one of “our cars”, a 912 Carrera, ready to be returned to the owner after we’d completed some extensive work.
