The 924 was the fore-runner to the 944 and the successor of the 914. However, this model only remained into the Porsche stable because Volkswagen originally commissioned the car as their own flagship sports offering, before a change in VW leadership around the 1973 oil crisis, canceled the project and sold it back to Porsche .
This car is another of “our cars” so we’re rightly proud of the trophy collection on the roof.
