968

This was the final evolution of the 924 and 944 line, inheriting the front styling from the 928 and arguably some similarly sourced inspiration to the rear. The 968 shared 20% of it’s parts with the 944, while the remaining 80% were largely reworked from the same source. It was made in ‘S’, ‘S2′ and ‘S3′ variants with some fairly significant upgrades along the way, although always powered by a 3.0 litre straight six. The variable cam timing developed for the S3 968 would be migrated to the engine for the 993 variant of the 911.
Being honest (we like to be), this is not a car we see many of, but the systems and components remain thoroughly familiar if we do get a chance to work on them, so if you do have a 968, you can be confident we still ‘know our stuff’ on this one and will be working the same high standards that we deliver for any other model.
We hope this gives you a taste of our experience with 968′s. Why not get in touch with us to discuss how we might help restore or maintain yours to the ‘right’ standard.
