Porsche 996 and 997 Service and Engine Rebuilds Essex
The 996 was the first 911 to depart from the air cooled engines used in all earlier cars from 1965. That said, the 996 has sold in great numbers and is still loved by many. As with the earlier cars, the 996 has a fantastic racing pedigree and is the basis for many race cars throughout the club and international racing scene.
Superceded by the 997, and now 991 variants, the 996 can most be easily distinguished from later cars by the integrated front light assembly. We have serviced and rebuilt engines on many 996 and 997 models so we know these cars intimately. We have owned many 996 GT3s and also 997 Gt3s and GT3 RS models including the ex-Nigel Mansell GT3.
